Silva and Aegis Prime – A Warrior’s Choice

Silva and Aegis Prime is one of the best high tier melee weapons in the game. The stance that is used for this weapon, Final Harbinger, is likewise one of the strongest in the game and in addition is extremely mobile. This weapon has insane boosts compared to its normal counterpart–higher base damage ( 120.0 vs. 35.0), higher critical chance (15.0vs. 5.0%), higher critical damage (2.0x vs. 1.5x), higher status chance (25.0% vs. 20.0%), higher block percentage (90% vs. 85%), and two [D]’s + one [V] polarity.

Pros:

  •         Very high base damage.
  •         Hybrid mod setup viable(highest scaling setups).
  •         3 inbuilt polarities including a [V] polarity.
  •         Excellent critical chance, critical multiplier and status chance.
  •         Scales into late game very easily.

·         Good riven disposition(3/5).

Cons :

  •         Low attack speed (0.75).
  •         High mastery level needed (12).

I highly recommend the Silva and Aegis Prime. It has high critical chance making it Blood Rush critical build viable and its high status chance makes Condition Overload viable as well. Since both its status and critical chances are high, it can also function as a hybrid weapon, letting it scale even further than a straight critical or straight status weapon.

Primed Pressure Point for the damage, Berserker for the attack speed, Blood rush for the crit chance increase on combo counter,  Drifting Contact for the bonus status chance + combo counter, Primed reach for the extra reach, Organ shatter for the crit damage and 2x 60/60 elemental mods.

Note:

For the critical build and the status build, Primed Pressure Point can be replaced with normal Pressure Point. For the critical build you can replace the Primed Reach for a Fury and in the status build, you can replace it for a 90% elemental mod for more damage or even a Berserker (though the chance of getting the max 75% boost on attack speed will be low).

Orthos Prime – This Old Weapon is Still Good!

Orthos Prime is a polearm weapon that comes in Update 9.0. A very old weapon that is still exist and still farmable to this day. This weapon comes with a MR 2 required to be claimed and equipped, a total damage of 85, = stance polarity (perfect for shimmering blight), 10% crit chance and 15% status. A very decent stats of a melee weapon.

 

What makes this weapon special is its range. With Primed Reach equipped, you can reach out to 9m range. That’s insane!. This weapon also have 1.17 attack speed so fury/primed is not really needed, also the slide attack damage is insane either!, Making this weapon is the best almost all faction you are facing! Either Orokin, Grineer, Corpus or Infested they are wrecked in seconds.

 

What about end game? Since this weapon comes with 15% status chance and 10% crit chance, its really difficult to go among 200++ level enemies, 100 level is still good but I don’t really recommend to go for long survival. Though some frames are able to go beyond that with orthos, these frames are :

Pros :

  1. Good for daily missions
  2. Fast Attack speed
  3. No problem on most enemies under 100 level

  1. Not good for end game
  2. Crit not always showed up unless combo counter is over 3x

For endgame, I like viral better than most elements, but still you guys can choose anything you would like.

Orthos Prime Build

Q : Why no Maiming Strike?

A : You can replace Drifting Contact/Organ Shatter for that. But really are you gonna slide attack for an hour? Unless youre born to do that

 

So, is this Worth?

Absolutely, I’m still using this as my daily 20 mins of fissure and it had no problem at all.

Zenistar, A Worth Weapon to wait for 300 Days?

Zenistar is a Heavy Blade Weapon that can be obtained by login for 300 Days. It comes with V stance polarity and 1 V polarity on its mod slot. It has an unique mechanics when you fully charge attack this weapon, it launches a disc that will form an energy waves on nearby area.

 

Looking at the stats, it has 0.8333 attack speed, 130 Heat damage, 25% status and 5% crit chance. Pretty bad isn’t it? But what you really need to concern is its charge attack that launch its disc. What happen is you will create an energy waves that lasts for 45 seconds and launch time of 4 seconds. The energy waves deals 350 Heat damage and 50% status chance. It will deal 1.2 damage per second and can be faster with attack speed mods. This is the real deal, since the status chance can be increased, but in my build, 50% chance is already good for long runs. I personally use this when I go 1hr of fissure survival. It also has 4 meters range of energy waves that can be increased with (Primed) Reach.

 

Pros :

  • Incredible Damage
  • End game viable
  • Its charge attack covers large area when (Primed) Reach is equipped

 

Cons :

  • Slow Attack speed
  • Not very good for casual damage dealing

 

Zenistar Build

The build that I’m using right now has 3 Forma (2 if you don’t want to change the stance)

Why using viral radiation? For long runs, you need to cut half of enemy health so you can kill them faster and Radiation to confuse enemies. Also Drifting Contact for a bit of status chance bonus.

 

Is this weapon worth to keep?

Of course! Since most players use this for end game, so it’s always worth it! It’s also good for exp farming for your frame!

Jat Kusar, The Crit All Day Melee

Jat Kusar is one of the newest melee that comes in Update 21.2. Identical to other Blade and Whip melee, it comes with V polarity on stance and other 2 V’s on the mod slot which is very good and forma friendly. And since blade and whip melee only have 1 stance which is Defiled Snapdragon, you don’t need to waste a forma on its stance slot.

 

Though looking at the stats, it comes with 35% Critical chance and 2.5 Critical multiplier which making Jat Kusar is a critical weapon. But there is a problem which is its status chance. It is introduced with 5% status. You might be wondering, is this really good at endgame? I’ll tell you it is! Do a combination of a frame with a damage multiplier like banshee’s sonar that gives you critical multiplier boosts, and you can literally kill a level 130 Heavy Gunner within seconds!

Pros :

  • It is easy to build
  • High Crit chance, can synergies well with other damage buff frames
  • Forma friendly
  • Decent range

Cons :

  • Mastery 10 Weapon
  • Not very ideal to new players
  • Low Status
  • Slow attack speed

Pro tip! : If you are using ash augment mod : Seeking Shuriken, slap on a viral status and you have no problem killing tougher enemies even bombards!

 

So, is this weapon worth to keep?

Yes it is! I’m still using this weapon consecutively on Mot – Void in 60 Minutes besides other weapon! Though I’ll keep trying to do longer runs with this weapon, still. This is Worth to keep!

Endura. Endure a little to see the results.

Endura

Overall Grade: A

Endura is the 2nd Rapier introduced into Warframe after Destreza. Unlike the Destreza, Endura is a status focused weapon and I have to admit that I like the Endura over the Destreza.

This weapon is not a 1 hit wonder, plus it have a slow attack speed, low crit chance and crit multiplier but it makes up with it’s Stance (due to guaranteed slash procs), is Puncture focused and high status chance. Making it usable on almost all situations. Slap on Condition Overload and you have a monster of a weapon.

Fun tip: Since Vulpine Mask guarantees slash procs, I used Condition Overload to deal more damage along with Relentless Combination that increases my Melee Combo Counter when a slash proc ticks. Furthermore, I used Weeping Wounds to increase my status chance based on my melee counter. With Relentless increasing my counter, I will deal more status. More status procs on Viral/Corrosive, easy kills.
