Arca Sisco: A Hybrid Powerhouse

The Arca Sisco, the pocket pistol that accompanies the large-and-in-charge Arca Plasmor and Arca Titron in the Arca bundle, is the least visually eye-grabbing of the three. But its small size belies a deadly sniper pistol with the supplemental stats for a lethal hybrid build that can proc status reliably while offering consistent critical hits.


The Arca Sisco comes with a unique mechanic, Target Analysis. Every successive hit on an enemy offers an additional flat +4% bonus in status and critical chance, which stacks up to 5 times for 20% respectively. When no additional hits are present, the weapon’s stacks decay at a rate of one every 2 seconds, allowing you to easily keep Target Analysis at high stacks rather than having to restack it from 0 every time it decays. Every additional hit from multishot also counts as an additional hit, which means with the reliable 180% multishot from Lethal Torrent and Barrel Diffusion (which guarantees almost always three shots as opposed to one), you can fully stack Target Analysis in just two shots.

  • Great base status chance
  • 20% flat increase in critical chance and status chance offers a significant ramp-up to the damage output of this weapon
  • Excellent fire rate, which synergizes with high status chance to offer superior armor stripping capabilities.
  • Decent hip fire accuracy as opposed to other sniper weapons in-game
  • Player does not get penalized for not using zoom, as it offers no bonuses.


  • No impact damage at base, requires alternate modding to be as effective against shields (and Corpus).
  • Accuracy improves slightly with zoom, penalizing players who prefer hip fire combat.

A very decent budget build. This weapon’s fantastic stats mean that it can already perform really well with these mods and no forma. Mod for corrosive to get through armor of tougher units.

  • Corrosive Build (4 forma):


The standard high-end corrosive build is used here. Note that we do not need both dual stat elementals for corrosive, as with only one of them and multishot (since this is a high-fire rate pistol we can utilize post-multishot status chance in our calculations) the arca sisco reaches almost 80% status. This in addition to the 20% flat status chance from Target Analysis lets us proc status on almost every shot.

Lex Prime – Sniping Pistol

The Lex Prime is an incredible sidearm for any lead slingin’ pistol lover worth their salt. This beautiful work of orokin craftsmanship has vastly improved stats over the normal Lex, featuring higher base damage (puncture based), nearly double the fire rate of the un-primed Lex, 5% more crit chance, and a whopping 15% more status chance! The Lex Prime makes a good counterpart to the high fire-rate/status AkStiletto Prime and the medium firerate status/syndicate proccin’ beast known as the Vaykor Marelok.


  • Very high damage.
  • Excellent critical chance, critical multiplier, and status chance.
  • A built in Y polarity, for mods like hornet strike, barrel diffusion, and lethal torrent.
  • Decent fire-rate for a weapon with such high per-shot damage.
  • Mastery requirement of only 5!


  • Akstiletto Prime vastly outdoes it in terms of constant status procs (lookin at you, corrosive!).
  • Slightly slow on the draw in horde based combat, lacking high fire rate and reload speed.
  • ⅕ riven disposition (whilst AkLex Prime shockingly has ⅗ riven disposition).


Overall, I highly HIGHLY recommend the Lex Prime to anyone wanting a good, reliable pistol to take them all the way through the star-chart, and soaring into the stars of sortie level. However, I must state that I can not give Lex Prime the full A ranking and the reason behind this is its quick-shootin’ partners in crime, the AkLex Prime. While Lex Prime has better accuracy, and is easier to obtain with 3 less mastery requirement than AkLex Prime, it also has a worse riven disposition, less firerate, and the sad fact that you could be wielding even more than just one of this amazing hand-cannon at one time.
Here’s how I mod the Lex Prime!

This build is very cheap, and very flexible. You may max out every mod if you see fit, with this forma setup, or you might use 1 or 2 less, and use non-primed pistol gambit and target cracker. Need more status? Swap convulsion for jolt, need even MORE damage? Swap pistol pestilence for primed heated charge. The Lex Prime is a weapon you can mod to fit your play-style!

Knell – Headshot Machine, but at what cost?

The Knell is Harrow’s new signature Pistol, released in the Chains of Harrow Patch (U21), and has a rather unique playstyle. It has a magazine size of one, but if you manage to aim decently and headshot, you gain a 3 second buff (Death Knell) which grants you 100% ammo efficiency–which basically means infinite ammo. This buff can be replenished during the 3 seconds, but sadly doesn’t stack, so you have to headshot at least once every 3 seconds, otherwise you’ll have to reload. The pistol works especially well on Harrow, because of his first ability (Condemn). It stuns all enemies in front of him completely, making headshots rather easy to achieve.

First of all, if you want to use this weapon, get your Formas ready. This weapon comes without any polarities and needs quite a lot of Formas–up to six depending on your build! The Knell has a physical damage of 150, which, compared to the Vaykor Marelok’s 160 is still pretty good, though the fire rate of the Knell is with 4.00 rounds/sec twice as high as the Marelok’s. They have the same crit chance of 20%, while the base Crit Damage is the same. This however isn’t for long, since the Knell gains Critical Damage multipliers for each headshot, 0.5x per, up to 1.5x damage. The status chance of the Knell, however, is 5%–miserable compared to the Marelok’s 35%. Recoil is also kind of important: the Knell has basically none, while the Vaykor has huge recoil, making the Knell’s ammo usage usually a lot better, since it’s missing less shots.

Now, the Knell seems like it would be good to use if you’ve got decent aim and can manage to headshot a lot. While yes, this is partly true, it gets really annoying to aim for headshots after the first 2-3 hours. Especially in Warframe, where the AI likes to just do its own thing, making it sometimes impossible to headshot. On Defense Missions, this weapon is somewhat worth considering, since it’s fairly easy to predict where to aim at and headshots become rather easy. Since it’s possible to get the reset from corpses, you can simply sit on the point and keep the buff up for almost the entire wave, most of the time. On other missions, I’d probably take the Vaykor Marelok, since it’s simply a lot more reliable, though it does get outperformed after the Death Knell buff gets stacked about 3-5 times, depending on crit and stat luck.

After all, I would recommend you try this thing out, it’s quite a lot of fun and damage. If it’s viable for late game content depends on your aim, but for Defense Missions it’s usually outperforming the Vaykor Marelok. For other types of Missions, the Vaykor Marelok usually outperforms the Knell, because you don’t have to aim for the head and can continue shooting after missing.
